Terms & conditions

Rules for using our websites, apps, and related digital services.

Last updated: 11 April 2026

These terms govern your access to and use of websites, portals, and digital tools operated by Blue Coast Investment Limited (“Blue Coast”, “we”, “us”, “our”), together with any mobile applications we publish (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. This document is a practical starting point and should be reviewed by legal counsel for your jurisdiction and operating model. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Use of mobile applications

By downloading or using our apps, these terms apply to you. Read them carefully. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer our apps or related software, scrape our systems beyond permitted API or documented use, misuse our trademarks or branding, attempt to extract source code except where mandatory law allows, or create unauthorised derivative works. The apps and all associated trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property remain owned by Blue Coast Investment Limited or its licensors.

Changes to apps and charges

We may update apps and digital Services to improve security, reliability, or features, or introduce fees for certain capabilities or subscriptions. Where we introduce paid features, we will describe pricing and billing clearly before you incur charges.

Your device and account security

Our apps may process personal or operational data you supply so we can deliver logistics services and account features. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, passwords, and authentication factors. Compromising device security (for example by circumventing manufacturer protections) may expose you to malware or data loss and can impair app functionality; we are not responsible for issues arising solely from such choices.

Third-party services

Our apps and websites may rely on third-party platforms (including distribution stores, maps, analytics, messaging, identity, or payment providers). Those providers publish their own terms and privacy notices. Example: Google Terms of Service for components linked to Google offerings such as Google Play services where used.

Internet access and connectivity

Many features require an active internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data). We are not responsible for reduced functionality caused by connectivity limits, outages, firewall rules, or carrier restrictions outside our control.

Mobile network charges

Your agreement with your mobile operator governs data usage fees. You may incur charges while using our apps without Wi‑Fi, including roaming charges outside your home territory if data roaming is enabled. If another party pays for the device or line, you confirm you have authority to run up such charges.

Your device

Maintain sufficient battery and compatible OS versions where reasonable. We cannot be responsible for inability to access the Services solely because a device is unavailable, discharged, or incompatible after we have communicated supported environments.

Third-party information

We aim to present accurate schedules, statuses, tracking signals, customs references, carrier updates, and similar information. Much of this originates from partners, authorities, sensors, or integrated systems outside our exclusive control. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising solely from reliance on such third-party information where we have exercised reasonable care in transmitting or displaying it.

Updates and availability

We may release updates to apps or withdraw features. Platform requirements may change; continued use may require installing updates when prompted. We do not guarantee that apps will remain compatible with every historic device or OS release. We may discontinue an app or feature with reasonable notice where practicable; upon termination of your right to use an app, licences granted here end and you should cease use and delete local copies where applicable.

The Services (website and digital logistics tools)

Through our websites and apps we provide information about Blue Coast, allow enquiries and quotes, support logistics coordination (including freight, warehousing, customs, fleet-related workflows where offered), and host communications relevant to services you request. We may change features, availability, eligibility, or these terms; material updates will be reflected on this page and in the “Last updated” date.

Accounts, enquiries, and acceptable use

You agree that:

  • Information you submit (contact details, shipment descriptions, documents, commercial references) is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not misleading.
  • You have authority to instruct movements or bookings you request for goods or assets you control or are duly authorised to represent.
  • You will not misuse the Services — including unlawful scraping, spam, harassment, impersonation, introducing malware, probing or circumventing security, or attempting to obtain data about other customers without entitlement.

Services, contracts, and logistics arrangements

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in a signed commercial document, descriptions on this website or within apps are informational and do not replace executed transport, warehousing, brokerage, insurance, or service contracts. Rates, liabilities, cut‑offs, documentation, customs procedures, carrier selection, insurance coverage, demurrage, and delivery outcomes are governed by specific quotations, bookings, bills of lading or equivalent instruments, tariffs, and applicable law. You are responsible for complying with import, export, safety, and licensing rules for your shipments. Where we facilitate introductions between you and partners, each party's obligations are as set out in their respective contracts.

Intellectual property & user content

Content we provide through the Services (branding, text, graphics, layouts, compiled data displays, software) is owned by Blue Coast Investment Limited or its licensors. You retain rights in materials you submit but grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, display, archive, and use such materials to operate the Services, perform logistics services you request, and comply with law — including quality and safety investigations where relevant.

Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Operational and tracking information may be delayed or incomplete; you must verify critical facts directly with operational staff or documents before relying on them for commercial decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blue Coast Investment Limited and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the Services, except where liability cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under Tanzanian or other mandatory rules.

Governing law

These terms are intended for users engaging Blue Coast from or within Tanzania unless we specify otherwise in writing. Disputes may be brought before courts or tribunals with jurisdiction in the United Republic of Tanzania, subject to mandatory consumer or sector protections where they apply.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms & conditions periodically. Changes take effect when posted, unless stated otherwise. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest substantive editorial revision.
